ORIGIN: Originator: Jim and Barbara O’Brien, Mt Burrell, Murwillumbah. ‘Blunobia’ is the name of farm where originator lives. Cultivar first introduced in 1988. Applicant: Judy Viola

DESCRIPTION: A dense medium shrub 2 metres high by 1 metres wide. Axillary spines solitary, straight to 25mm long. Leaves are small and narrow, simple, obovate to elliptic, glabrous, new foliage light green in colour. Flowers white (with pink buds) approximately 10-15mm in diameter from August to September. Fruit a cylindrical berry, 4-8 cms long, 15-25mm in diameter , skin green with brown overtone, vesicles deep pink and easy to extract.

DIAGNOSIS: Citrus australasica 'Blunobia Pink Crystal' is a compact shrub which bears fruit with deep pink vescicles.

CULTIVATION: The plant has been compatibility tested at the applicants nursery on root stocks over a period of 8 years and has shown no signs of inconsistency. Resistant to most citrus diseases
