ORIGIN:Chamelaucium 'Bundara Mystic Pearl' was the result of a manipulated cross between C. 'Bundara Excelsior' as the female parent and a white form of C. uncinatum as the male parent. The cross was performed by Mr D Gust of Bundara Nursery, Crows Nest, Queensland and was done with intention of raising a prolifically flowering plant for the cut flower market. 2 September 1977. The applicant is Mr D Gust of Bundara Nursery, Crows Nest, Queensland.DESCRIPTION: The habit of this cultivar is similar to normal Chamelaucium uncinatum. The flowers are a pink mauve on opening fading to a very pale pink.
DIAGNOSIS: A very robust shrub with a large number of the flowers borne on the branch terminals. This cultivar was bred with the cut flower market in mind and the first crop attained a 4.5kg cutting. This crop rate was achieved at Bundara Nursery. The cultivar may be distinguished from other similar colour forms of C. uncinatum by the heavier crop of flowers.
