ORIGIN: Hakea 'Gold Medal' is a variegated form of Hakea salicifolia that arose (as a sport) in cultivation. Registration applied for by Mr. B. Naylor, Kirrimar Nursery, Calamvale 4116.
DESCRIPTION: The older foliage has cream to light green variegation. The new growth is rose pink for the species, though the main feature is the foliage.
CULTIVATION: Propagation must be by vegetative means to preserve the cultivar form.
