Grampians tea-tree

A spreading shrub, 1&endash;2 m high by 1.5&endash;2.5 m across. The glossy leaves are elliptical to obovate and up to 2 cm long. The large white flowers are about 2.5 cm in diameter and seen in late spring.

Distribution: Vic (Grampians).

Propagation From seed or cuttings

Cultivation Grown for many years as L. nitidum. This species differs in having a conical base to the fruits. A hardy and showy plant accepting most soils and aspects.

• Suitable for heavy shade.
• Frost-hardy. (Plants given an this rating will tolerate frosts to -7°C in conditions of normal rainfall.)
• Recommended for their foliage.
