Flower resupination

Whether the flowers are inverted or not. Flowers which are resupinate have the dorsal sepal above the lateral sepals and the labellum below the column. Inverted flowers (non-resupinate) have the dorsal sepal below the lateral sepals and the labellum above the column.


Resupinate (labellum below column): an orchid flower which has the dorsal sepal above the lateral sepals and the labellum below the column.

Not resupinate (labellum above column): an orchid flower which has the dorsal sepal below the lateral sepals and the labellum above the column
